The Nigeria Cricket Federation has unveiled a 15-man squad to represent the country at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
Team captain Sylvester Okpe will lead the Yellow Greens, with his younger brother Isaac Okpe also included in the squad. Others named are Elijah Olaleye, Selim Salau, Sulaimon Runsewe, and Isaac Danladi, all of whom recently completed high-performance training stints in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Head coach Steve Tikolo has been overseeing intensive preparations in Lagos ahead of the tournament, scheduled for September 28 to October 4. Nigeria will compete against Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, and Botswana in the qualifying round.

Only two African teams will secure tickets to join already-qualified nations, including hosts India and Sri Lanka as well as continental powerhouse South Africa, at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
