
Senate President Godswill Akpabio commissions projects in Akwa Ibom, urging citizens to protect public facilities and support national development
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has called on Nigerians to take responsibility for protecting government projects sited in their communities.
Akpabio made the appeal while commissioning projects in Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, the Senate President emphasises that the role of lawmakers in the National Assembly is to attract development projects for the benefit of their people.
“As beneficiaries of these projects, the people owe government a duty to protect the facilities so that they won’t be vandalized or destroyed,” he said.
Akpabio also reassured his constituents of the determination and commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians before the end of his tenure.
