In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, announces that Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, extended the government’s congratulations to the Muslim Ummah for successfully completing the Ramadan fast.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo urged Muslims to uphold the core values of self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace while emphasizing love, forgiveness, and unity as essential pillars of a harmonious society.
He also called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the nation’s peace, stability, and prosperity. Expressing hope that Eid-el-Fitr would strengthen unity across religious and ethnic lines, the minister encouraged responsible celebrations and acts of kindness toward the less privileged.
