
A ghastly motor accident has occurred at the Karu Bridge, between Kugbo and Nyanya in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to a statement by the FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the crash happened at 7:14 PM and involved a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck and multiple vehicles.
The Head of Forecasting, Response, and Mitigation at FEMA, Mark Nyam, revealed that the CNG truck driver lost control on the bridge, ramming into other motorists, which triggered a deadly explosion.
Emergency responders from FEMA, NEMA, the Federal and FCT Fire Services, and the Nigeria Police Force are currently at the scene conducting search and rescue operations.
