The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has expressed shock and sadness over the killing of 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Salome Adaidu, allegedly murdered by her estranged lover in Karu, Nasarawa State.
In a statement released by her special adviser on media and publicity, Mr. Jonathan Eze, the minister called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder, urging authorities to ensure that justice is served.

She said, “It is high time parents and the Nigerian community take ownership of the safety and protection of women, girls, and children.
“The right to life is a non-negotiable human right that must be respected and protected at all times.”
Hajiya Sulaiman-Ibrahim extended her heartfelt condolences to Salome’s family, noting that no one deserves to lose their life to violence.
She also called on Nigerians to report suspicious activities, stressing that creating a society free from violence against women and girls is a collective responsibility.
This tragic incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for improved safety measures and justice for victims of violence across the country.
